THE NUMBERS

The beauty of the sea must be protected: it is a precious element that occupies 70% of our planet, playing a fundamental role for the survival of living beings.

The Mediterranean Sea, like all marine waters in the world, is increasingly invaded by plastic. Approximately 229,000 tonnes of plastic waste is dumped each year, the equivalent of over 500 shipping containers a day. According to a report published in 2020 by the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (lucn), Italy alone disperses 34,000 tons/year.

AS

By making our supply chain and habits as sustainable as possible.

THE FABRICS

As part of our strategy to reduce our environmental impact, we are committed to using more sustainable fabric bases.

RECYCLED POLYESTER

For the realization of the swimsuits we use Recycled Polyester. This material is obtained by fusing existing plastic and trimming it into a new polyester fibre, while guaranteeing high quality standards in terms of comfort and durability, thus renewing our commitment to sustainability and respect for the environment. Furthermore, according to a study by the WRAP (Waste & Resources Action Programme), its production requires 59% less energy than virgin polyester and reduces CO2 emissions by 32%.

LINEN

Linen has long been part of our collection, a biodegradable and naturally sustainable fibre. Every part of its plant is used and is recyclable. Furthermore, it does not need intensive irrigation as the water requirement in flax cultivation is met by rainwater that falls naturally in the plant cultivation areas.

PACKAGING

The packaging is made of natural cotton using methods and products that have a low impact on the environment. They are also meant to be reusable; in fact, they can be used several times for the same purpose for which they were originally designed or for a different purpose, giving them a second life.
